Artist & Illustrator
Western Artist and Illustrator Roslan Fichtner brings each Read for the Brand Story to life. Daughter of author Mary Fichtner, she grew up under the same western skies that inspire the books.
Roslan illustrates each book in colorful watercolor, so readers can feel the dust, the sunshine, and the personality of every character. Her art is what brings Rusty, Delgado, Thunder, and Gunner to life - as well as Cowboy, Cowgirl, and the other characters in the books.
Tribute
Outside of the book illustrations, Roslan also creates original western art under her brand The Violet Cowgirl.
The name is a tribute to her daughter, Violet, who lived only seven days but left a lifelong mark on their family.
The Violet Cowgirl is Roslan’s space to honor that legacy through art that celebrates grit, tenderness, and the quiet beauty of western life.
